Residual Value of Retired Assets

The three major components for a responsible environmental program are:

  1. Reduce
  2. Reuse
  3. Recycle

Secure e-Cycle has a special program for large commercial or
enterprise customers to address the second component—Reuse.

To reuse retired, decommissioned IT assets is a way to help conserve resources like metals, plastics and glass, all of which require energy to manufacture. Reusing electronics conserves our resources and decreases air/water pollution, as well as greenhouse gas emissions that are caused by manufacturing virgin materials. Plus, as an added bonus, it helps reduce our dependence on foreign trade.

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) states that “recycling one million laptops saves the energy equivalent to the electricity used by more than 3,500 US homes in a year. For every million cell phones we recycle 35 thousand pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold and 33 pounds of palladium can be recovered.“

We offer our Enterprise customers a percentage back on any resold equipment turning environmental responsibility into additional cash flow.

Before any equipment leaves our building, rest assured that all data has been deleted per our NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) certification.

Secure e-Cycle understands the importance of safeguarding our customers’ information. Our current customers range from hospitals to banks, public school districts to law, as well as many other industries, all regulated by various acts like HIPAA, GLBA, FACTA, etc.

We have been in the IT business for over 15 years reselling equipment to trusted buyers. We look at the marketplace and assess the marketability of computer equipment products, taking into account the type of equipment, specifications, age and condition. We work hard to sell the product at its optimum value to benefit both Secure e-Cycle and you, our customer.
